The National Antidoping Organisations in the Nordic countries have for the past years organised the International Conference on Doping and Public Health (Finland 2015, Norway 2017, Denmark 2019). Sweden will be hosting the conference this year.
The organisers for the 2024 conference include: Anti-Doping Sweden, Public Health Agency of Sweden, National Board of Health and Welfare, The Swedish Council for Information on Alcohol and Other Drugs and Stockholm prevents alcohol and drug problems.
The goal of the conference is to gather experts, researchers and policy makers to discuss, highlight and acquire knowledge when dealing with the problem of doping in society.
The conference will focus on areas such as:
- Legislation of doping in society
- Prevalence of doping in society
- Medical and social consequences of doping
- Medical care and counseling for doping users
- Preventing doping in gyms and fitness centers in the Nordics
- The role of the police and customs in preventing doping in society
- Supplements and SARMs
The conference will be held in English. We expect participants from the Nordic and other European countries to attend.
